I'm trying to perform a remote installation of Windows 2K
throught RIS. The problem I'm having is that the
installation hangs midway of the setup.
The hardware config is PIII 1.8GHz, 512 MB RAM and the
partition is 160 Gb NTFS. I'm trying to install Windows
2000 with integrated Service Pack 5.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Belvai

- Are you sure you're using SP5, or is that a typo? If so, you must be
using a beta, and this may be your problem.

- Have you ever done RIS on this exact hardware combo before? I've seen
some hardware incompatibilities that will halt RIS unexplainedly. Firstly,
try changing to another NIC (either another card, or another brand
altogether.)
