I am trying to figure out how to put Microsoft office on my sons computer
from mine. How do I install it, I moved all the files over with an external
HDD. I am hooked up remotely to it. Is there something I am missing, I cant
see a setup file
Thanks for any help
Bruce

You can't do this. You need to install it from the install CD, which means
you need your own licensed copy.

Given that Microsoft Office is *not* installed on another machine, you put
in the original installation media (usually CDs for Office) into your son's
PC and you install. You could create an administrative ionstallation point
(google for it) - but I think that would be overkill.

Beacuse all program installations (with an occasional exception
for a very small program) have important entries in the registry
(and often elsewhere), you can't just move files from one
computer to another. You need to reinstall from the original
media.

Also note that you can't legally use the same copy of MS Office
on both your machines.
