Remote Assistance connection could not be established
because the remote host name could not be resolved.
Please try again."

This is the error I get when trying to connect to a
friends computer using Remote Assistance. We tried it in
the office using high speed internet using the same
router and it worked fine. He went home and used a dial-
up connection and connected to the internet. When we
tried it we got the message above. Any help out there?

Sounds like a DNS name resolution issue.

Try connecting to his IP Address rather than name. When he dials in he gets
assigned a dynamic IP Address. The name you are using to connect to his
computer is not registered for that address, hence the message could not
resolve name.
