remote email access

Assuming you're talking about a pop3 ISP account, you're easiest solution is
http://www.mail2web.com
Just make sure you don't leave Outlook open before you leave home or it will
download messages from your server as soon as they come in and you won't be
able to access them.

Of course there's the ultimate home PC access solution, VNC:
