I can get it to work when I have them both at home
connected to my router by typing in the ip address what
do I need to do to be able to access it from a remote
location using the internet. I don't know what to type in
the address field. It seems like everyone I know that has
a router has the same address. Is there a remote desktop
for dummy's book out ?

You would access your home computer by using the IP address your ISP
provides... You can find this out by browsing to
http://www.ipaddressworld.com/ from a machine on your home network...

To access your computer remotely, though, you will need to configure
your router to forward TCP Port 3389 to the private/local IP address
of your home computer server. Look at your router manual for
information on how to do this as all routers are different.

.Hi Jeff, Thank You very much.I did what you said and it
worked. I assure you that has not been the case with the
last 20 to 30 sets of instructions I got from other
sources. I am very appreciative Thank You again.
