I want to know how to access My PC which is running
Windows XP Pro, via remote desktop. The problem is I
have a router and I do not know what to do. I know that
I need to access the outside IP address. But do I need
to configure the router in any way (open any ports)? I
need a step by step how to open Internet Explorer at a
remote pc and then end up at my PC.

Hi, Paul -

You need to configure your router to forward traffic on
port 3389 to the XP machine. There should be a place in
your router's setup screens to configure port
forwarding. After that it's a piece of cake - just use
the IP address of the router (not the workstation) when
asked what machine you want to connect to :)
