I am trying to connect to my home computer from work, and I can not get
connected. I am running windows XP Professional on my home Computer and have
set up everything the way it told me, but when I use Remote Desktop it will
not let me connect. Is this possible? I am not on the same newtwork as work,
I am just trying to connect to my home computer to access it. What do I need
to do to be able to connect to my home computer. I have set up an incoming
connections. I can accces the host computer from my laptop while I am in the
home, but when I try to access it from another computer, like at my cousins,
when can not get connected. Please help me with this.

I have looked at all of that and tried your suggestions and I still can not
connect.

Have you verified port forwarding is configured correctly at home through
any firewall/NAT/router your PC is behind?

Have you verified your calling the correct public IP of the
firewall/NAT/router?
