Half the time I try to use Remote desktop connection it works, then the other half, even on the same computer I either get a timeout message when using the client software or a "cannot find server error" when using web connect. Also, I can only connect the one time (ie if I login and log off, I can't connect for another session). Any suggestions?

It appears to be an issue with the firewall becuase when I disable ICF I can connect all the time....

Are you sure there's no other firewall involved? The ICF firewall should
either shut down communication all the time, or allow it all the time--no
middle ground!

There's UI in the firewall to allow Remote Desktop traffic in:

Properties of the Internet connection, advanced tab, settings button.

Check off Remote Desktop to enable that traffic (3389, TCP) in, and specify
the IP address or name of the machine you are designating as the host.

I've never run into ICF acting in the manner that you've described, although
I did have a vague thought that I had heard a similar description before,
when I read your message.
