I've uese the winXP install disk to install this on my win2k pro computer.
However, whenever I attempt to connect I get a msg. that the computer is too
busy or there is a network problem. I'm able to use the remote desktop tool
to connect to other pc's on my home network. How do I enable my win2k box
to accept remote conntections?

Win2000 does not have Remote Desktop. You will have to
use a third-party product such as WinVNC. It's free.

Win2k does not accept incoming rdp connections, but it can be used to log in
a Terminal server or something like that.

I'm confused.. here is an excerpt from a microsoft download page concerning
remote desktop. If I understand this page, remote desktop can be downloaded
and installed and used to connect to XP computers on "older windows
platforms

Remote Desktop Connection Software Download

msrdpcli.exe

This software package will install the client portion of Remote Desktop on
any of the following operating systems: Windows 95, Windows 98 and 98 Second
Edition, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000. (This is the same
version of the client software as in Windows XP Service Pack 1.) When run,
this software allows older Windows platforms to remotely connect to a
computer running Windows XP Professional with Remote Desktop enabled.

This package provides flexible deployment options of the full Terminal
Services Client, including auto-repair through Windows Installer technology
and application publishing via IntelliMirrorT management technologies or
Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS).

Note The Remote Desktop Connection software is pre-installed with Windows
XP. To run it, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click
Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection. This software
package can also be found on the Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home
Edition product CDs and can be installed on any supported Windows platform.
To install from the CD, insert the disc into the target machine's CD-ROM
drive, select Perform Additional Tasks, and then click Install Remote
Desktop Connection.

It's the client flavour of Remote Desktop that you can run
on any version of Windows. The host flavour (which is for
the machine you're trying to access) runs only on a WinXP
Professional or Windows Server machine.

You can activate remote desktop sharing through netmeeting and control your
Win2k desktop...
