Several of the PCs I remote access have two monitors, often times I'm
remoting from a machine that has two monitors as well. Is there any way to
access that second monitor (I never can seem to see anything other than
monitor #1). Thanks,
Jim

Unfortunately, this isn't supported in RDP yet. Let MS know that you
would like this feature by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/mswish

Hi Jim,

Thank you for posting!

I agree with Jeffrey that the current Remote Desktop Connection does not
have such feature to access the windows on the second monitor. The only
work around is to move it to the first one. You can right click the window
indicator on the task bar and choose Move from the context menu. After
that, Move your mouse (attached with the window) to the most suitable
position.

And as Jeffrey said that you can submit a wish at
http://www.microsoft.com/mswish.

Have a nice day!

He is referring to the entry for the remote desktop session on your
taskbar (it is the machine name followd by - Remote Desktop).

Apologies for my ignorance, but I don't see the icon to which you refer (not
exactly sure what I am looking for). I'll keep searching. Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,

That is all right.

When you open a new window, For example, we click "Start" on the left on
the Task bar, point to "Run", and then type "NOTEPAD" (without quotation
marks) and press Enter. You will see an new window named "Untitled -
NotePad", on the task bar, you will see a new "button" appears with the
same or part of the name of the new window. For example, "Untitled -..".
Right click the "button", you will see a menu, choose "Move" from it. Then
you can use the Arrow Key (<-) to move the Window or press and hold your
mouse to move the window until it appears on your monitor.

I hope that I have explained clearly. Have a nice day!

Oh, I see. I was looking for something that would move the whole contents
of the monitor, but I guess that doesn't make sense. Your solution should
work well.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,

I am afraid that we cannot move all contents on the second monitor to the
primary one.

I am glad that our workarond works on your side. If you have any questions
in the future, please don't hesitate to post in the newsgroup.

Have a nice day!
