Hello.

Recently I tried to set up the Remote desktop web
connection softwre. I already had IIS installed for FTP
access, so I just installed RDWC. I enabled anonymous
access, and everything seemed to be set up correctly. I
can get to the screen(by typing 'http://compname/tsweb')
where it says to enter the server name and select the
screen size. however, after I enter the IP or compute rname
(I have tried both) i get a "This Page cannot be
displayed" 404 error! I'm not trying to access a web site,
I'm trying to access my computer! What gives? This is all
from within a Windows 2000 server LAN, so firewalls are
not an issue( I disabled the builtin XP firewalll also).
Any suggestions as to hwo to get this thing working? Id
really like to use this for cross-platform TS and for
comp's that don't have the RD-connection installed.

Thanks.

Leave the server address field blank and simply click on the "Connect" button...

I have tried this, and it still comes up with a 404 error.
It seems as if no matter what i Enter, it still can't
find adnything.

I tried to reproduce the problem on my small home LAN with no luck. The only thing I can suggest is
to uninstall IIS and reinstall IIS w/RDWC... Perhaps one of the other MVPs can help further...

Good luck...
