Hi, I am trying to set up the Remote Desktop Web Connection but all I am
getting is a blank page after entering the password for my Router
Configuration manager. It never asks for the Active X to be run.

I have installed the Remote Desktop Web Connection program and the security
update and opened Ports 80 and 3389 on both my router and firewall.

Anybody have any ideas what I am doing wrong, thanks.

Nope, But I"ve given up with that version of remote control

I just use Logmein.com Works great, and I can control my Vista Box at work
from my PDA at home.

Hi,

Why are you logging into the router manager remotely? All you should have to
do there is setup the port forwarding to the internal ip of the machine
being accessed. The ActiveX prompt should come from the Vista machine, not
the router.

Hi, when I try to connect using "http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/tsweb/" I get a dialog
box saying "The server xxx.xxx.xx.xx at BT Voyager 210 Configuration Manager
requires a username and password.".

If I enter my Vista account details it does nothing just flashes back with
the user name filled in and the password. If I enter the Configuration
Manager account details I get "Authentication failed You need to supply a
valid user name and password"

Sounds like you need to log into the router locally and allow remote logons
in addition to the port forwarding.
