Hello out there!
I'm studying MCSE and I'm learning about IIS. I've tried
to install IIS on my work computer that is on a Novell
workgroup. In order to "fully" install IIS (for
examining the real thing for studying), I'm supposed to
install Remote Desktop Web Connection. Do you think I
might do harm to my internet and e-mail connections in
doing so? Or, is it that the worst that could happen is
a restriction would be set on Novell? I don't want to
bother our IT people and I do know that they do not use
terminal services because I inquired about it when I
wanted to connect to an e-learning online lab and they
would not open a particular port.

Thanks in advance!

First I would be very careful to get the permission of the office system administrators to install
IIS. With that said, it should not cause problems with email or internet configurations. For help
installing IIS and the RD Web Connection go to "Start -> Help and Support" and search on "remote
desktop". Look at the last two entries in the "Pick a task" area. Also these web resources...
