i have remote desktop web connection and i set up the
webpage works and it can access it but when i press
connect insted of the windows xp logon screen come up i
get a blank picture box is this because the firewall might
be blocking the port or could it be because the client
cmputer has something missing? The client computer and
host is both runing xp pro and IE 6.0

i also found an error message when the page loads and
displays a blank picture box

it says problems with this webpage might prevent it from
being displayed properly. On the details tab it says this:
line 67
char 7
error object doesn't support this property or method
MsTsc server
code 0
URL <myip>/tsweb/connect.asp

why is this error coming up and what do i have to do to
solve it?

I've been using RDC for some time between XP Pro systems at office and home,
and can access via RDC directly or via the Web connection.

Some of the systems at my office run W2K. RDC Web connection from W2K gives
an "error on page" message when attempting to connect from the server/tsweb
page, and never gets to an RDC login .

Is the action to taken per 328002 the solution to my problem as well, even
though I can use the Web connection from the XP systems? All of the XP and
W2K systems have the latest Windows and IE patches.

Thanks,

David P. Lurie

Double check Internet Explorer to see if you can run ActiveX control
(Under Tools=>Options=>Security=>Internet=>Custom Level. Also note
that some popup blockers and firewall software may also be blocking
the download of the ActiveX control.
