Can I use my Windows Xp remote desktop to connect to a macintosh?
My mac runs 10.2.5

No, Remote Desktop Client software allows people to connect to a Windows Terminal Server, or Windows XP Pro Remote Desktop from another computer. There is a remote desktop client to connect FROM a Mac TO a Windows Terminal Server, but not the other way around.

as Patrick Rouse said--no. However, you may want to be aware that there is
a Remote Desktop client for the Mac OS/X machine--so you can use it to
connect to your XP machine or other Terminal servers.

No, but you can run an OS X version of VNC Server
(http://www.redstonesoftware.com/vnc.html ) that will allow you to
connect using another computer and the VNC client software...
