We've been experiencing a very irritating issue with Remote Desktop.
Basically after a certain amount of time performance goes right down to the
point of un-usability (this is over the local LAN, so not a bandwidth
issue). This is with Windows XP (never experienced it with W2K), a re-boot
returns things to normal. We use the same RIS image for all our
workstations but only some machines appear to have the issue (and those that
do don't all have the same hardware). The issue seems to appear after a
certain amount of uptime (a day or so), with the amount of time you are
actually connected via Remote Desktop irrelevant. Anybody experienced this
or have any trouble shooting tips?
Thanks,
Andrew.
