Remote Desktop Relay or Proxy?

IT would really be nice if there was a way; For a user to log into a company
web page, Select the Workstation they want to RDP, and have that RDP session
in their browser.
The Catch is, Assigning many users' port 3389 to very few public IP
addresses. AND not having them accessable to anyone but the person that made
the initial web request.
It would be nice if the web page could proxy or relay the RDP session, but
it does not look like that is possible with out Citrix, right?

Use Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 :)

The feature is called Remote Web Workplace, and it works EXACTLY like you
describe.

Thank you for your quick responce. I have looked at SBS but we already have
our internal network established. Changing to SBS would mean up-rooting our
existing network and scalling down just to do RDP. We currently are using
VPN to RDP to user machines, but this has it's own IT headachs. Could we use
a portion of SBS with our existing domain?

I would think Microsoft or someone would have a solution like RWW for bigger
buisnesses. It seems to me, an ASP page establish a RDP session with a
back-end host. Then simply relay these screen and keystrokes to a ssl web
client. I am not a developer, but there seems to be some money there for
someone that could do that. (cheaper than Citrix) :)

Sadly enough, SBS is an "all or nothing" solution.

Hopefully RWW will be rolled out as a seperate product for needs like yours.

um, the tsweb method lets you pick which machine to connect to via each
machines workgroup name

I have one machine called XXserv, and another called XXwork and another
called XX2
when I connect to my tsweb on it's alternate port I get a simple webpage
that installs the rdc client if not present
(on any IE running machine- down to w98se tested)
there is a box that asks me to pick the server to connect to
xxserv is supplying the IIS tsweb page- but if in that box I type xxwork or
xx2- I get connected
to that machine.. if I type in xxserv, or just hit connect, I get that
machine.
