I have a LAN in my home with a wireless connection to my
laptop. My Desktop is running XP Pro and the laptop has
XP Home. My problem is that I cannot access the desktop
with the Remote Desktop feature of XP Pro. When I
attempt to connect I get an error saying that remote
access may not be enabled, or the computer may be too
busy. When I brouse for available computers I get a
message saying that the domain/workgroup does not contain
any terminal servers. I have searched all the help files
I can, and can find nothing about terminal servers unless
connecting to a non windows computer. Any suggestions as
to what I am missing would be truly appreciated.

Thanks

As noted by the other poster make sure RD is enabled on the desktop.

Normally you can *NOT* browse for other PCs using the RD client browser *IF* your in a work group
environment. Simply call using the LAN IP of the target PC. If you do want to browse then look at
this KB article for help setting that up.

It sounds like maybe you haven't turned on the feature
yet. It is off by default. Check the Remote Tab when
you check "My Computer" Properties. Also the wireless
access point to your laptop maybe blocking port 3389.

Good Luck,
David
