Is there a way to make XP Home Edition work just like the
Professional version? I want to remote into my home
network, and can't because there is not someone there to
allow me in. Is there a registery setting that allows XP
Home to function just like the Pro version?

Thanks!

Look at NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing (RDS) or VNC...

You can get the VNC software from http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/ , http://www.realvnc.com or
http://www.tightvnc.com

Note that the VNC data stream is *NOT* encrypted like the RDS data stream is. Over the public
internet that is a potential security risk. Some folks run VNC through VPN or SSH tunnels.

NetMeeting is built-in to XP and 2000 and can *NOT* be upgraded. Get the newest version of
NetMeeting for Windows 98 at http://www.microsoft.com/netmeeting Look at this KB article for help
with RDS...
