Remote Desktop on XP after CAT 6.9 ???

I recently upgraded from Cat 6.1 to Cat 6.9 (a fair jump) on my PC with
Radeon 9600 Pro. What I've noticed although I'm not sure if it is related is
that remote desktop on XP has stopped working ie. I get the usual login
dialog but after putting in my correct login credentials, all I get is a
blank black screen. I'm sure this started happening after I upgraded to
these latest Catalyst drivers.

Has anyone else seen this or should I look elsewhere?

I'm RDP'd into my XP Pro SP2 w/ Cat 6.9 system right now as I'm typing this.

I've not had any RDP related, Catalyst caused problems though any of the Cat
6.x series that I can remember.

Try a clean Cat driver uninstall/reinstall and see if that helps.

Remote Desktop (PC Anywhere?) may have changed your desktop resolution? PC
Anywhere (depending on the version) changes the resolution down to 256
colors to speed up the remote desktop function. You may need to boot up in
safe mode and reinstall your graphics drivers.
