Remote Desktop mmc plugin question...sorting computer list

I use the Remote Desktop mmc plugin on my Windows XP workstation to
administer over 300 Windows 2000/2003 servers that I am responsible for.

Is there anyway to sort the list of servers in the mmc window?

It is very difficult to find the server I need to connect to when this list
is unsorted. Every few months, I take the time to completely redo the list
with all current servers in the correct order, but when new servers are
added, they go to the bottom of the list.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not aware of an MMC snap-in for Remote Desktop. there is the MSTSC.EXE file, and it does appear to sort the entries in the connection box.

The Remote Desktop mmc plugin is part of the Windows Server 2003
Administration Tools Pack. It is very handy. Easier to use than the Remote
Desktop utility that is standard with Windows XP. You should check it out if
you get an opportunity.

Thanks for responding so quickly...I've visited your site several times and
have used many of the tips you have posted. Keep up the good work!

There doesn't seem to be any way to sort the tree but you can click the column header in the right pane.
