I know that it is a feature of Remote Desktop Connection to log you off when
you disconnect, but is there a way for it not to?
Here is the situation: We have 2 computers set up with their own monitors
that are out in the hallway a information boards. Each have their own
PowerPoint Shows that are designed to loop via Kiosk mode. Each time I need
to edit the PowerPoint Show for these, I have to manually disconnect the
mouse, keyboard, and monitor and plug into one by the computers.
What I would like to do: Somehow access the computers via Remote Desktop
Connection or other means to edit the PowerPoint Show and then start it again
before disconnecting, so that the show will continue on in the hallway
monitors.
The issue with Remote Desktop Connection: I can go in and edit the show,
and have it run its loop, but when I disconnect, the show disappears to the
log-in screen.
One of the bosses here at work swears that there must be a way for us to
connect via Remote Desktop Connection without the issue with it logging out
upon disconnection. I don't want to give him a definite answer unless I
consult with some of Microsoft's finest first.
