Accessing a local disk drive while connected with remote desktop is
incredibly slow, around 10 seconds at each level, its almost like its
validating a username/password at each level of a folder hierarchy as you
descend down it. The access takes place through the \\tsclient\C\.......
path.
If I access the same folder hierarchy through \\hostname\C$\....., after the
initial top level access where there is a slight delay of 1 or 2 seconds,
access to subsequent subfolders is immediate.
This all takes place on a local 100Mb lan.
Anyone else have this problem, or a way to fix ?
