You can *NOT* start Remote Desktop using Messenger. You can start Remote Assistance using
Messenger...Both PCs must be XP Pro or XP Home in order to use Remote Assistance...

From the FAQ...

Q. What are the differences between Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance?
A. Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance use the same underlying technology, but there are
differences between these features.

a.. Remote Desktop allows access to a remote Windows computer. For example, when you are at another
computer you can use Remote Desktop to connect to your work computer from home and have access to
files and applications.
b.. Remote Assistance allows a helper to use an Internet connection to access your computer to
provide assistance. The helper views your computer's screen and communicates through a chat box. The
helper can remotely control your computer to resolve a problem.

Greetings Kevin,

I assume you mean Remote Assistance? If so, the primary reason why you won't be able to
connect via Remote Assistance is if you have some type of router or internet sharing software
that you use to connect to the Internet. In order for Remote Assistance to work, the
router/software must support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). If you are using a router or
software, just reply back with what it is, and we'll let you know what your options are.

Otherwise you may have some type of third-party firewall software installed (ZoneAlarm,
Mcafee Firewall, Norton Firewall, etc.) which may be blocking the incoming connection.
