I am trying to use Remote Desktop from my office machine
(win2k) to connect to my home machine (xp pro) via the
Remote Desktop client (not web). I am able to
successfully login to my machine - I can see the icon's on
my home machine's desktop, wall paper, etc; however, when
I try to run certain applications (IE, Outlook, Windows
Explorer) they consistenly cause the Remote Desktop client
to crash, yet the applications themselves do not crash on
the host (home) machine. Other applications (Trillian,
Bulletproof FTP client) work fine. In fact, the only
applications that seem to have problems are ones by
Microsoft. I have tried to do some reading about this,
but did not come across any posts that address problems
simliar to this. Any thoughts/suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

Try re-installing the client software
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl.asp) to
see if it helps...
