Can anyone advise me how to connect to one of my home computers from a very
large 2000 setup at work please?

I've managed to get Remote Desktop working from one PC to another at home,
but now I would like to be able to access my home PC from work.

My setup is as follows:-

HOME
4 PC's running XP Pro
1MB Cable Broadband via a Netgear RP114 Router/Switch
Software Firewall Zone Alarm Pro

WORK
Very large organisation running 2000 SP3 (that's all I know)
I have recently been given local administrator rights over my own machine,
so I can install applications on it, but nothing global.

I've looked on my PC at work but I can't find anything similar to the Remote
Desktop application that I see on my home XP setups.

I'd be very grateful for any help you can give me.

Please forgive me if this topic has already been aired. I've looked back a
couple of weeks and I can't find this specific query.

Many thanks
Mick

You can download a Remote Desktop client from...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl.asp

To access the home network you need to forward TCP Port 3389 through the router. The same thing if
your using ZA on the desktop your trying to reach. Call using the public IP of the router, ie. the
IP assigned by your cable ISP.
