hi
I tried cennecting my computer via remote desktop connection, and I
could get the starting screen with the novel request for password (I
got a novel client on my computer), but immediately after I logged in
the remote desktop disconnected without any message, but with
netmeeting I connect with no problems why?
thanks in advance

Take a look at the event log on the Remote Desktop server. There
should be an error message that will explain what caused the immediate
disconnection.

I guess I don't have some basic knoledge:
1. is the event log on my computer or on the remote computer?
2. how can I see it?
thanks

Yes..

You can see it by using Computer Management (compmgmt.msc from a
command prompt or right click on My Computer and select Manage)

I looked at the Computer Management in the System Tools/Event Viewer
and I couldn't find any log file (in the application, security or
system) after I couldn't conncting, is it possible that it is somthing
with the Novel net? or I didn't look at the right place?
thanks

I guess it could be the Novell client (I don't have any experience
with Novell, so it is hard to say).. Apparently Remote Desktop didn't
lock up or terminate (like usual with this error message)... Maybe
someone else around here has experience with the interactions between
the Novell client and Remote Desktop...
