Remote desktop disconnects over VPN

We have several VPN clients that cannot use remote desktop
to access our applications terminal server because of
frequent disconnects. The can connect initially, but get
booted out after a few minutes or so. This happens when
they're right in the middle of something, e.g. composing
an email message.

The VPN connection stays up, just the remote session
disconnects.

We have several different ISPs, and this seems to happen
to clients on about half of them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
