Remote Desktop disconnects in 10 min when minimized

I use remote desktop ( which comes with windows XP) to connect to this
windows 2003 machine .Once connected If i minimize the remote desktop on my
machine ( to work on other applications) and go back to the remote desktop
connection , it gets disconnected in exactly 10 minutes, i have looked
everywhere but have no idea why this is happening and could not even find a
property to set this timout. If i connect to the same machine with terminal
services which come with windows 2000, the session remain active for ever,
even if i minimize it.

Please tell me the reason for this behaviour.

Hmmm. The client (old terminal services client v. RD client) shouldn't have
anything to do with it - the timeout/disconnect settings are specified on
the TS server itself. However, have you tried downloading the latest RD
client?

Thanks for your reply. I find it pretty hard to beleive that nobody has
come across this issue before, this seems to be a common things with
everybody whome i know. the RDC disconnects in 10 minutes after it is
minimized. I did not try installing the latest version but will try it and
let you know. In the mean while is there any kind of configuration which you
know of that might be causing this behaviour?

No, sorry. I have used many clients - the old TS client, and pretty much
