I have a Terminal Server running in admin mode. This has all been working
fine and I have been able to connect without issue.

However, I have taken hold of a new laptop and now when I connect I get the
error message "the remote computer disconnected the session becuase of an
error in the licensing protocol........

I have tried deleting the reg key MSLicensing and then rebooting but it does
not help.

If I connect the old laptop it works fine.

Also on the same network I have a small business server 2003 which I remote
desktop onto for admin purposes. This works fine with the New laptop.

As I thought it was a Laptop problem I have reloaded the operating system on
the new laptop but it still does not work.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

....can ANYONE help? This is very frustrating. I'm usually VERY good at finding fixes to stupid MS issues like this on the web but I can't find anything that works or a good reason as to why this is happening.

I've already tried this - http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=921045 - and a few other fixes like it.

Anyone have ANYTHING? I'm ready to sacrafice a chicken and pray to pagan gods if it'll let me get this laptop up and running.
