Q1: I installed the term server client on my Windows 2000 SP4 from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl.asp . But
each time I try connecting to a server :

Program error
mstsc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created.

I have removed and reinstalled several times. I have searched everywhere
but I can't find the answer.

It almost logs in and I can see my home computer desktop, but then it
gives me immeadetly an error message: "mstsc.exe has generated errors
and will be shut down...".

When I try to connect with windows 98 and XP and those work fine.

I also tried from another computer running windows 2000 and it gives me
the same error. I've also tried other terminal servers.

The full error from the application log says:
----------------------
Event id: 4097
Source: DrWatson
Type: Information

Description:
The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on
08/14/2003 @ 23:05:47.765 The exception generated was c000001e at
address 6A637724 (<nosymbols>)
----------------------

It's the same error every time. I'm running this as an local admin user..

I'm behind NAT. I wonder if that has something to do with it. My system
is fully "windowsupdated".

I'm happy to report that this client worked 100%. Thank you Rob Leitman
for giving me this link.

This client also seem to fix the vpn problem I had in WinXP. The old
client seemed to freeze after a while.

ok i just have something to add.

I have this irritating problem. i have this problem at work too.

After using the TS session for some time, the ts session seem to think
that i'm holding down SHIFT allways. The shift seem to hang, and I
cannot "undo" this. This happens at both Windows XP target OS, Windows
2000 target OS, and Windows 2003 target OS (I've used them all for a
year now), and I've used different OS'es as client.

I have this feeling that this is somewhat related to when I play games,
and then alt-tab from them or something. The shift-key is used in
various games you know :)

The client has a problem here, and the problem still exist in the 5.2
build 3790 you provided me.
