Remote desktop crashes on win xp

Hi,

I use SecuRemote and Remote desktop on two boxes with Win
XP Pro. They have slight differences (drivers, etc.).
On one everything works fine when I remote into my office
box, but on the other, Windows crashes... It's a serious
crash: the screen turns blue and it says something
about "IRC error is less than or equal to" (it restarts
before I can see anymore than that). What kind of things
might be causing this? The same is true when I use PC
Anywhere 10.5, leading me to believe it's specific to
something on this particular box...

Thanks in advance...

Do either of these programs install a virtual NIC? I too have exactly the
same problem, but it is caused by a different program. I get the same
"IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL...." error. There is apparantly is some low level
conflict in the NIC drivers that result in these fatal blue screen crashes.
It only happens with XP, both Home & Pro. It doesn't happen on all XP
machines-it has to be the right (or more appropriately wrong) combination of
NIC drivers. I have been trying to solve this problem for over six months.
No one has any idea what is causing it or what the solution is.

Thanks for the reply... I asked one of our network guys
at work quickly and he had never heard of the issue.
What have you done in response? Have you used a
different program?

In my case, I am actually going to be traveling for part
of the next year and will need access to my box at home
more than anything (up until now it has been an issue of
accessing my box at work so i have been constrained to
using the vpn software they use)... so in this case I
assume I need to install VPN not only on my laptop, but
also on the desktop I'll be accessing at home... Any
suggestions/comments?
