remote desktop connection

hi
would like to ask a question. i have a labtop with all my
astronomy software on it. it also controls my meade lx200
telescope.
my labtop and desktop are net worked together.so i would
like to control the labtop through the desktop visa
remote desktop connection.is this possable.even though
both computers are using the same conection to the
internet. i hope you can understand what i am trying to
do.

Yes, as long as the laptop is running XP Pro.

Call using the LAN IP of the laptop.

If the laptop is *NOT* running XP Pro alternatives include VNC or NetMeeting Remote Desktop
