My guess would be that your network administrator see's no reason to
open the RD ports outbound on the firewall (I know I wouldn't).

Since you are working for someone, ask them to open the ports so that
you can access your computer from home - I'm sure that if you present a
valid business case that they would consider it.

In addition to "Leythos" suggestion make sure you forward/open TCP Port 3389 on the DSL router at
home. What make and model is it? Check the users guide or online support pages from the manufacturer
for help... You would call using the public IP of the router...

I don't mean to butt in on someone else's post, but I'm
having a similar problem with RD web connection. I have
set it up according to MS instructions and forwarded TCP
ports 3389 and 9651 ( I changed it from the default 80)
on the work machine. However, I get a "page cannot be
displayed" error. I tried to hit it from home without the
firewall, to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Can you use the RDP client, ie. NOT the web page method, to connect to the remote PC through the
firewall? Are you calling the correct IP? Is the remote end blocking those ports?
