Remote Desktop Connection

Hi:
I have a PC running Windows XP SP 3 and when I try to use the remote desktop
connection I receive the fallowing message:
"The pre-release version of Remote Desktop Connection has expired. To
download the full version of Remote Desktop Connection, go to Windows Update
or contact your system administrator."
There is no listing in remove programs with a Remote Desktop name, so I am
not able to remove the pre release version.
I have tried installing Remote Desktop Client 6.1 but it tells me that I
have a newer version.
I checked services and remote management is not disable.
Any ideas how I can solve this issue?

Please provide the following information:

Start button --> RUN --> Type in:
winver
--> Click OK.

- What does the picture at the top of the window that opens say?
- What does the line that starts with the word "version" say?
