I use remote desktop to connect from one computer to two others on my home
LAN. All three are running XP SP2. All three are set to the standard
settings and remote desktop worked fine up until yesterday. Now when I try
to connect I receive the following error: "The client could not connect.
You are already connected to the console of this computer. A new console
session cannot be established." No remote desktop connections are open, and
I have not recently made any significant changes to any of the systems.
I receive the same error message when I try to connect to either of the
computers, so it must be something with the computer that is trying to
connect. In addition, I am unable to connect to any of the folders through
My Network Places that I was previously able to connect to. I either get an
error message or it asks for my password to the computer name +
".company.com" which I've never seen before. Anyone have any ideas what
could be causing this?
