At home running XP-pro / Office running Win2000-pro
have installed remote desktop at my office and wish to connect to home PC.
connection via broadband 512k link and I have static IP at home.
left computer running and logged in at home - checked with the wife that the PC was running & connected ok to my ISP.
the home PC is set-up to accept me as a remote user (limited account at home)
I try to connect from office but it always fails ....... no error message giving reasonable ideas for the failure.

I havn't specified anything else at home regarding remote sessions except - allow remote connections and allow 'user' to connect.

Any thoughts ?

Elsewhere I read that you may have to allow the user account to connect remotely. Chech the user account profile and see if this is enabled for your user account
