Remote Desktop Connection install error message

Trying to upgrade Remote Desktop connection, I get an error message say that
it is already on the computer...any way around this?
 
If your trying to install RD on a XP Pro or a XP Home machine the client
already is installed.

I am having the same probelm to. I have it installed already but it will only
let me select the remote assistance option, there is no option for remote
desktop to be enabled? is there anyway of updating it?
 
If your running XP Home then there is no option available to run Remote
Desktop as a host/server...

If you want to remotely access/control a XP Home machine look at using
UltraVNC as an alternative. Grab the server, client and encryption plug-in
software from...

i already have that but i just wondered if i could do it with rdp aswell.
