Hello,

I'm a high school teacher trying to access my classroom machine from my
house.

My machine at work is running Windows XP Pro. I can(and have) used
remote desktop from other machines in the building, but when I try it
from home the client can't find the machine. I'm sure it has to do
with a firewall or proxy.

Any suggestions are truly appreciated!

Cheers,
Murph

How do you connect to the work computer. Without talking to the school network administrators, I am not sure you can access it.

I've supported both the k-12 and University enviornments. Based on that, you
won't be Remoting into your computer anytime soon. Acopule things that might
be interesting to know is if the RD port is blocked (3389) and if you have a
public or private ip address.

I have the same problem but with 2 PC`s that are at diferent homes with a
public IP. Both PC`s have the Hamachi install...
