remote desktop Connection Client Missiing

The Remote Desktop Connection client software that has always been in my Programs --> Accessories --> Commnucations folder is no longer there. Windows does not allow me to download it and reinstall it. How can I get/find where the client software is? How does it just disappear like that?
 
1. Right-click on your Desktop and select NEW > SHORTCUT
2. Type in: MSTSC.EXE , and click Next.
3. Type in a name for the shortcut, such as "Remote Desktop Connection"
4. Click "Finish".
5. A shortcut to your Remote Desktop Connection program will appear on your desktop.
