I have just downloaded the win2k RDP client and installed
it on a win2k pro pc, I can get the win2k to connect to an
XP client but I cant get XP to connect to the win2k pc. Is
there a reg fix I can apply or does any body know the way
to do this.
Thanks,

John.

You can only use the RDP client on a W2K box as a client. In order to access W2K box with XP RDP as
a client the W2K box must be a W2K Server running Terminal Services.

For alternatives look at using NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing (RDS) or VNC...

You can get the VNC software from http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/ , http://www.realvnc.com or
http://www.tightvnc.com

Note that the VNC data stream is *NOT* encrypted like the RDS data stream is. Over the public
internet that is a potential security risk. Some folks run VNC through VPN or SSH tunnels.

NetMeeting is built-in to XP and 2000 and can *NOT* be upgraded. Look at this KB article for help
with RDS...
