Remote Desk top

Sirs;
I'm running windows XP Pro. I have a customer running XP home. We are both
on cable With a company called Cox. I want to set up remote desktop so the
cusstomer can requesst help. So I can see and control there system. I've
tryed reading about it but not sure how to do it.
Can you help me.

The customer has Remote Assistance (if they have Windows XP Home Edition) -
but no Remote Desktop. They can already REQUEST help using Remote
Assistance - if they have their router (if there is one involved) and
firewall (software and hardware) configured correctly.
 
there are a couple of steps you must complete for this to work on the users PC:

1) go into gpedit.msc on the users pc and make sure the users policy under
computer config\ local policy\user rights\deny logon as service has the
everyone removed from it.

2) right click the my computer select manage and then double click services
at this point ensure the following services are turned on:
a) remote access auto connection manager
b) remote access connection manager
c) remote desktop help manager
d) RPC
e) terminal services
