remote control that goes in the side of a notebook

hello - i can't get the little remote control out of the side of my notebook.
I took the plastic plug out and put the remote in the same way - it went it,
but I can't get it out. Appreciate any help.
 
Not a Windows XP issue, it's a hardware issue with your computer. Contact
support/help at the manufacturer's website.

Help suggestions:
1. Read the manual for your laptop.
2. Contact the laptop manufacturer for support with their hardware.
