Hi, I'm trying to reduce clutter by trashing my desktop's CRT monitor and
running it from my laptop using Remote Desktop Connection. I'm running Vista
Home Basic on my laptop and XP Home Edition (SP2) on the desktop. I read on
the Windows XP site that Remote Desktop Connection could be installed on XP
Home Edition from the program CD.
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tools/rdclientdl.mspx) I tried
to install and got a message that it was already running on the desktop. I
confirmed that it's installed and available at Programs / Accessories /
Communication. Now I need to set up the desktop to allow my laptop to
connect to it. When I navigate to the Control Panel / Performance &
Maintenance / Systems / Remote tab, I only see the Remote *Assistance*
options to setup. Can anyone tell me how I can access the Remote *Desktop
Connection* options so I can setup the desktop to *receive* a connection and
be controlled from the laptop?
Any help is appreciated,
