Windows XP Pro SP3
All of my machines are configured to display 32 bit color.
I have Remote Connection setup for my Windows XP machines. The configurations have:
Experience: LAN with all boxes checked.
Display: 32 Bit color
When I connect from one machine to another in full screen mode the screen is in 16 bit color not 32.
If I right click on the remote desktop and select it says the color quality is 16 bit and that is
the only choice in the drop down list.
I also have a box running Server 2008 with Hyper-V. The same thing happens if I do a remote
connection to the Server or any of the VMs under it -- I get 16 bit color instead of 32 bit. It
also happens if I use the Server to do a remote connection to any of the Windows XP machines.
Is there a 16 bit color quality limit in Remote Desktop Connection? If so why does the Display
setting in Remote Desktop go up to 32 bit color?
