remote configuration

I am trying to configure remote access to my pc and am
having major difficulties. I was able to connect from
other pcs at one time, but somehow i can no longer do
it. I didnt change any settings on my pc. I checked
configurations of IIS and remote access for my pc and
they all seem the way they should be. I tried
reinstalling IIS and it still does not work. Can being
on a LAN have any effect on your ability to run a remote
computer? Do you have any other suggestions that may
solve this problem?

What error dows it give you when you try to connect?
Are you able to ping to the Remote access server whcih you are trying ot
connect to?
DO you see any event logs for remote access?
