Hi...a WAN Windows 2000/2003 domain environment, for those computers in
the remote small subnet (only 10 computers), I have two questions:
1) without rebuilding a local domain controller, how can these computer
in the small subnet to join the central domain?
2) How can I create a local domain controllers for these small subnets,
can they be the same domain controller as those in the central network,
or they have to be a sub-domain's domain controller.

Thanks,
fshguo.

You belong in one forest and the central domain has a seperate forest.
Within each of your forests you have your domains, you can't move a domain
from one forest to another, each has its own schema, etc...

You have a couple of options:
1) You could create a forest trust and then the two could gain access to
each others resources
2) You could migrate your existing users and machines over to this
central office, then demote the current dc in your domain and repromote it
back into the central domain.

From the way things sound you would be best off migrating your current
remote AD into your central AD.
