Remote Assistance

Hi All,

When I receive a remote assistance ticket from some one and I start to
open it, it gives me the messages (Remore assistance failed). What's the
reason behind that.

If the PC that sent the Ticket is using NAT (via a Router), the ticket may
be configured for the LAN IP address, not it's true Internet Address. As
a workaround you can get the sender to do a WhatIsMyIp.Com to get
their Internet address which you'll have to manually change inside the RA
ticket. Sometimes you must configure the router for Persistent port
forwarding on Port # 3389 to allow RA to work properly.

Software firewalls can also interfere with Remote Assistance.

Hi Dear,

It's exactly like that, I'm inside the LAN and we don't puplish our real
IPs. So I used to work with it easilly inside our corporate Intranet but now
it's not working and I don't know why. I've installed the MS anti spyware,
can this be the problem. Also I've uninstalled the messenger and install it
again but it didn't solve the issue.
