remote assistance

Is there a way that I can control my mothers computer? She's not very
computer literate, and it would be easier for me to see what is happening.
Both of us are running Windows XP Home SP2.

Since you both have XP Home, you can't control her computer from yours
natively. Use third-party software such as the commercial pcAnywhere or
the free UltraVNC.

Sorry, I thought you wanted to do Remote Desktop and not Remote Assistance.

Start a Remote Assistance Session from Windows Messenger:
