I am trying to setup Remote Assistance and cannot connect to the remote
machine. I've started to track the problem by making sure my Port 3389 is
open by using www.canyouseeme.org but get a "Connection refused error
message" I've checked that the XP firewall allows Remote Assistance and I've
switched the firewall off on the router. I've also opened the port on the
router with the help of the manufacturer (Linksys) but still canyouseeme
can't see Port 3389. Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
Tony

Test the port using telnet, for example telnet ip 3389. If it doesn't work, post back with the details how you forward the port.
